Light Body Lotion

3 MIN READ

This recipe is for a light body lotion. It is a great lotion for when we want something not as heavy that will absorb fast and moisturize our skin, leaving a lovely light feeling.

In this recipe, I use a combination of carrier oils that you can swap and change to make this lotion to your personal needs. You can choose only one liquid oil and make this recipe with your chosen oil.

I didn't include any butters in this formula since I want this lotion to be light.

Berry wax will add a soft and silky texture to this lotion and increase the viscosity of the final product.

Allantoin is an effective anti-irritant for the skin, calming and soothing sensitive areas. Allantoin's moisturizing mechanism increases the skin's ability to retain water. There's not a conclusive study regarding using Allantoin during pregnancy. But to be extra careful, ask your doctor before applying it or don’t use this ingredient.

I love using Olivem1000 for my emulsifier since it's very light, very easy to work with, and has conditioning properties.

Calendula extract increases hydration within the skin and promotes wound healing while reducing inflammation.

This body lotion combines moisturizing oils and active ingredients while remaining light and fast absorbed into the skin. It is a perfect lotion for everyday use on your body and hands.
